About the Studienkolleg

Studienkolleg Uni KarlsruheIn the Studienkolleg students of different national origins, different religious and political convictions and different education meet to prepare together for the same goal. This particular situation requires that teachers and learners work together in mutual respect for each other's personality, religious beliefs, nationality and political views.

 

On behalf of the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts of Baden-Wuerttemberg (MWK), the Studienkolleg prepares foreign applicants for the "Feststellungsprüfung" (FSP) and the German Language exam for University Entrance (or equivalent exams) and carries out these exams. The courses / exams are aimed at students whose proof of education is only in conjunction with a successfully passed exam (FSP) or German Language exam for University Entrance (DSH or TestDaF or equivalent exams) to study at a university, art college, college of education or dual university entitle. Furthermore, the Studienkolleg has the task to improve the subject-specific study ability of the students.

The Studienkolleg is a central institution at the KIT (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology) and directly assigned to the Vice President for Teaching. The Studienkolleg is affiliated with the Sprachenzentrum.
