The T-course prepares applicants for a scientific/technical course of study at a university. After two semesters, an assessment test (FSP) is taken, which - if successfully passed -entitles studentsto study a STEM subject at a college/university or university of applied sciences throughout Germany.
In addition to the lessons, there is an optional weeklytutorial in mathematics and physics, and in the second semester the lessons are supplemented by a compulsory work placement in chemistry or physics/computer science.
The courses are supervised by several teachers and, due to the small course size (approx. 25 students), enable a lively exchange between students and the respective teacher as well as between the students themselves.
The subjects taught are German, mathematics, physics and chemistry/computer science.
The content is based on the competence profiles of the subjects at the Studienkollegs.
Please note!
Students with German citizenship and a foreign educational background must apply to the Regierungspräsidium for certificate recognition and register directly with the Studienkolleg: info∂stk.kit.edu
